The overall aim of this QQI minor award Professional Coaching Practice and Ethics 6N2925 is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skills and competence necessary to work independently and professionally as a coach in a number of different settings and to ensure understanding of the importance of following guidelines and best practice in the running and management of the coaching practice.

This Professional Coaching Models of Practice module has been designed to give individuals
and managers an overview of the competencies needed to become a qualified coach. This
programme aims to provide the learner with the relevant knowledge, skills, and competence to
deliver and assess relevant training and development activities, by understand the principles
and characteristics needed to be an effective coach.

The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the
knowledge, skill and competence in the concepts and theories
underpinning emotional intelligence to enable the learner to
develop their own emotional intelligence and use it to support the
development of self and others.
