- Identify what motivation is (intrinsically and extrinsically) and its role in the workplace
- Learn about common motivational theories and how to apply them including the latest theories that tap into emotional wellbeing
- Supervising and motivation – Learn when to use the carrot, the whip, and the plant.
- Discover how fear and desire affect employee motivation.
- Explore ways to create a motivational climate and design a motivating job – e.g., Setting goals, the role of values, creating a motivational climate, the expectancy theory and how to design a motivational job

PROGRESSION
This course will allow participants to improve their ability to motivate employees and improve working conditions and productivity. Participants have gone on to complete many of the management accredited courses at QQI Level 6 including Business Management, HR and Conflict Management.
