This Payroll Manual and Computerised (5N1546) minor award aims to provide learners with the knowledge, skills and competence to operate and maintain accurate payroll records using manual and computerised systems, for an organisation, working under general direction and supervision.

CONTENT
INDICATIVE CONTENT
- Gaining the knowledge, ability and qualification to work in a payroll setting using both manual and computerised payroll systems.
- Keeping accurate payroll records for a business, working independently with normal direction.
- Understanding the responsibilities someone working in a payroll administrators’ position has to the Employee, the Employer and to the Revenue Commissioner.
- Developing the academic and vocational language, literacy and numeracy skills related to payroll through indicative content

METHOD OF DELIVERY/DURATION
- Three options – Classroom, Blended and In-house.
- Delivered over 120 hours (including independent study and assessment).
- Delivered over 5 days/8 mornings
COST
€395, with reductions for doing 2 or more courses to reach the full major award or integration of modules. Grants are also available.
PROGRESSION
Upon successful completion of this programme, the learner will possess the relevant knowledge, skills and competences to be able to understand, operate and maintain accurate payroll records for an organisation, large or small. Mapped onto the NQF at level 5, you may use this module as a minor award towards gaining a full major award in many different Level 5 programmes. MIDAS Learning use this module as one of the optional modules for the Major Award in Business Administration (5M2468). This Certificate will enable you to progress to other programmes at level 6 or higher including colleges and higher education providers.
